I spent the weekend backpacking through the magnificent lakes and mountains of Yosemite. It was my first time there. Despite being sore, bruised, scratched, and bitten, it was well worth the amazing adventure. Two friends and I hiked 24 miles in two days with ~ 20 lb. packs, fending off mosquito attacks, watching for rattlesnakes, and keeping food in a bear-proof canister rented from the park service.
